The Statler Tower The Statler Tower was built in 1921 by Ellsworth Statler, a local innkeeper. It sits on the site of the one-time residence of former US President Millard Fillmore. The Tower went on to become a part of the Hilton hotel chain, and today it is an office building. The lobby and other public spaces of the building are open to the viewing public.
