    The Guaranty Building

    The Guaranty Building is most well-known as being the first true skyscraper, as it was created from a steel frame. It opened in 1895, and was designed by renowned architect Louis Sullivan. The interior lobby, with its tile mosaics and skylights, all remain intact. It is also known as the Prudential Building.

    Built in 1843, the Michigan Street Baptisit Chruch was one the city's first Arfican-American chruches and acted as a stop on the Underground Railroad.

    Neto Hatinakwe Onkwehowe is a Native arts and cultural center that was formed in 1992. Promoting education, cultural programs and initiatives, the center also presents exhibitions and interactive workshops, in an array of mediums, to visitors.

    Old Fort Niagara

    Located in the grounds of the Niagara Falls State Park, Old Fort Niagara was originally constructed by the French in 1726 and has also been controlled by the British. The site has been restored and includes the oldest building in the Great Lakes region. Visitors can explore the various buildings and view the historical displays and musket demonstrations. Live history events and reconstructions of certain battle also take place here. The view of Lake Ontario from here is particularly impressive

    Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin D Martin House

    Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin D Martin House is one of roughly six historic buildings that were constructed by Lloyd Wright in the Buffalo area. It serves as a good example of his prarie style. There are other structures on the complex, including the Barton House, a gardener's cottage, and a covered walkway that connects the main house to the conservatory.

    Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site

    After President William McKinley was assassinated in September of 1901, Theodore Roosevelt was inaugurated as the 26th President of the United States. The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site offers a tour of the Ansley Wilcox home, where Roosevelt was inaugurated.

    Lockport Cave Tour

    A guided tour through a large tunnel which was blasted out of solid rock in 1858. It was the invention of Birdsill Holly, a 19th century genius who gave America district steam heat and the fire hydrant.

    Genesee Country Village & Museum

    The museum at this attraction features a number of horse-drawn carriages from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The historic village featues demonstrations of crafts and trades from the 19th century. Genesee Country Village and Museum is open from May to October.

    Murphy Orchards

    Growing a variety of apples, cherries, peaches and more, the Murphy Farm is a privatly owned fruit farm that was once involoved in the abolitionist movement called the Underground Railroad. The barn features a concealed chamber that escaped slaves once stay in. Tours of the property, outlining the heritage of the site, are available and open to the public.

    Millard Fillmore Museum
    Millard Fillmore Museum is set in the home that Fillmore resided in from 1819 - 30. Among the period pieces from the era that are displayed are his bed, other furnishings, and antique toys. Visitors are also able to see the Presidential Rose Garden, which features pre-1980 varieties.

    Ganondagan Historic Site

    Visitors of this historic site will have the opportunity to tour the ancient site of a Native American community, complete with a 17th century Seneca Bark Longhouse replica. The site features three marked interpretive trails and a 30 minute video exploring the history of Ganondagan.
