It also passes under bridges, and is accompanied by a narrative description of Erie Canal folklore and historic sites.

Lockport Cave Underground Boat Ride uses a custom-built flat bottom boat and takes visitors on a half-mile trip through a man-made hydraulic raceway cut of solid rock. The ride lasts a little over an hour, and is accompanied by a guide as well as a trained operator.
